What is alpha card?
Be the first to take on an innovative spending experience from alpha card that has been specifically designed with the U18 generation aged below 18, but above 15. Enjoy unprecedented spending pleasure with your alpha card at local and overseas merchants, with all your spending immediately debited from your account. By linking up with your deposit account, your alpha card will be automatically reloaded whenever the card balance falls below the transaction amount. |

How to use my alpha card for transaction?
You may spend with your alpha card at any merchants accepting MasterCard. Simply sign on the receipt with the same signature appearing on the back of the alpha card after confirming the transaction amount stated on the receipt. After transaction, keep the receipt for future reference against the alpha card’s monthly statement. |

How to use Auto Top-up Service?
Customers will be required to choose the “Designated Auto Top-up Amount” when applying for the alpha card. When the balance of your alpha card is insufficient for settling a transaction, your alpha card will be automatically reloaded with the designated amount, which will be debited from the deposit account linked to your alpha card.

| Terms and Conditions: |

The “Designated Auto Top-up Amount” is HKD300/HKD500/HKD1,000, which shall be designated when signing up for your alpha card. To change the Designated Auto Top-up Amount, customers may download an amendment form from www.hangseng.com/e-Banking and submit the completed form to any Hang Seng Bank branch. |

If the balance of your deposit account, which is linked with your alpha card, is insufficient to cover the automatic reload, the auto top-up service will be cancelled. The relevant transaction will also be cancelled as a result of insufficient balance in the alpha card. |

Upon completion of the transaction, the remaining balance, if any, will be retained in the alpha card account for settling subsequent transactions. |

The alpha card account is a non-interest bearing account. Funds maintained in the alpha card account are not protected deposit and are not protected by the Deposit Protection Scheme in Hong Kong, and the repayment of such funds is not guaranteed by the Hong Kong SAR Government's Exchange Fund. |

If the transaction amount is exceeding the Designated Auto Top-up Amount, can I transfer funds in advance for spending?

If you are in the street, just stop by ATM of Hang Seng Bank throughout Hong Kong to transfer funds to alpha card account from your bank account. |

Select "Transfer" as the required service > Select "Spending Card" > Choose bank account > Key in the transfer amount |

If you are at home or somewhere else, simply logon to Hang Seng Personal e-Banking or call 24-hour Customer Service Hotline to get it done at anytime and from anywhere.

e-Banking > Select "Account Services" and "Transfers" > Follow the instructions to input the necessary information, then click "OK" |

24-hour Customer Service Hotline
Call 2398 0000 and press "2" after language selection, then key in your alpha card number and Phone PIN to transfer funds by following the instructions. |

It is just as convenient to make a direct deposit by cash or cheque at any Hang Seng Bank branch with the help of a "Cash Deposit Machine" or "Cheque Deposit Machine"!
Through ATM network, your alpha card account will be credited immediately. For the other above mentioned channels, it takes one working day to transfer funds. It is so simple and convenient to enjoy spending with your alpha card! |

How to check alpha card account balance?
| Customers can enquire about the available balance of alpha card to ensure there is sufficient fund for transaction. |

Select “Account Enquiry” followed by “Spending Card” to see the available balance of your alpha card. |

What should I do to keep my alpha card and the Personal Identification Number safe?

You should sign on the signature panel on the back of the alpha card with a ball pen immediately. |

Keep your alpha card and PIN safe. |
| • |
To prevent unauthorised use of your card balance, you should:

memorise your PIN and destroy your PIN advise |
| - |
keep your alpha card and your PIN separately |
| - |
under no circumstances reveal the PIN to anyone |
| - |
not allow anyone else to use your alpha card and/or PIN |
| - |
not write down your PIN on the card or anything usually kept with the card, or write down or record your PIN without disguising it. |

Should you wish to change your PIN, you may do so through our ATMs. The use of your Hong Kong Identity Card number, passport number, date of birth, telephone number or other easily accessible personal information as your PIN is not recommended. |

What should I do if alpha card is lost?
For card loss, report it as soon as reasonably practicable through our 24-Hour Lost Card Hotline 2836 0838. To ensure immediate handling and maximum protection, please do not report your card loss by fax or through an agent.
Warning: If your alpha card is lost or stolen, you are liable to Hang Seng Bank for all unauthorised transactions up to HKD500 before Hang Seng Bank is actually notified of such event. Subject to applicable laws and regulations, however, you shall be liable for all withdrawals, transfers and transactions (whether or not authorised) effected with the use of the PIN before Hang Seng Bank is actually notified of the loss or unauthorised disclosure of the PIN. Further, you are liable for all unauthorised transactions if you have acted fraudulently or with gross negligence, or failed to follow the safeguards set out above. |
