Octopus Automatic Add Value Service



Save Time and Earn Instant Cash Dollars

Hang Seng Credit Card Principal Card customers are eligible to apply for the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service for any kind of Octopus cards or products (the "Octopus").

With this service, HKD250 or HKD500 will be added automatically to your Octopus if the remaining value is not sufficient to settle the payment needed. The value will in turn be charged automatically against your designated Hang Seng Credit Card account, freeing you from queuing up to reload your Octopus.
Cash Dollar will be earned for every automatic reloading. For JAL Hang Seng Card, instead of Cash Dollar, JMB Mileage will be earned for every automatic reloading.
The terms of repayment for the value added amount shall be as long as 56 days interest-free. Details will be posted in your monthly statement for easy reference.
Customers only need to be responsible for the loss arising within 6 hours from report lost of Octopus. And each Octopus is able to reload once everyday.
You may at the same time apply for Octopus Automatic Add Value Service for yourself and up to three family members who are aged 12 or above and earn Cash Dollars at every reloading made by your family members.

Customers can apply for Octopus Automatic Add Value Service with any Octopus currently hold. You may apply online for Octopus Automatic Add Value Service together with Personalised Octopus.

Terms and Conditions:
Hang Seng Credit Card or Affinity Card Principal Card customers are eligible for Hang Seng Credit Card Octopus Automatic Add Value Service, but it is not applicable to Private Label Card, Commercial Card, USD Gold Visa Card, Renminbi Credit Card, Spending Card and e-shopping MasterCard.
Phone application for Octopus Automatic Add Value Service is only applicable to Principal Card Customers to apply the service for them with Octopus currently held. Customers should complete application form and submit to any branch of Hang Seng Bank or fax back to Credit Card Centre to apply for Octopus Automatic Add Value Service for family members aged 12 or above.
Each Octopus linked with the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service is allowed for automatic reloading once per day. Each automatic reloading amount is either HKD250 or HKD500. If customers opt for automatic add value amount HKD500 per transaction and want to switch to another bank that only provides the option of automatic add value amount of HKD250 per transaction thereafter. Customers should either contact Hang Seng to change the automatic add value amount to HKD250 or call Octopus Customer Hotline 2266 2222 to cancel the Hang Seng Credit Card Octopus AAVS before switching to another bank. A non-refundable handling fee of HKD20 will be charged by Octopus Cards Limited for transferring the AAVS from one bank to another.
The Cash Dollars earned from this service to both Principal Credit Card customers and their family members shall be credited directly into the Hang Seng Credit Card accounts of the Principal Card customers relating to such service.
There is no application fee for all first time application for the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service. For existing users of the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service, there is a non-refundable handling fee of HKD20 charged for transferring the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service from one bank to another, or reactivation of the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service following suspension. Such fee(s) will be charged to the Octopus Automatic Add Value Service Account.
The application fee for a Personalised Octopus is HKD100 (including HKD50 deposit, HKD30 stored value and HKD20 non-refundable service charge). This fee and the value added amount will be charged directly against the Hang Seng Credit Card accounts of the cardholders relating to such service.
If new customers apply for Hang Seng Credit Cards and Octopus Automatic Add Value Service at the same time, the approval time for the service will be subject to the approval of the credit card application and the customers may be notified of the results in a longer period of time.
Customers applying for a Personalised Octopus with student status recorded shall submit application through their respective schools or at the Customer Service Centres of the service providers which recognise the student status (such as customer service centres of MTR at designated stations). Upon the collection of such Personalised Octopus, they can apply Octopus Automatic Add Value Service to our credit card accounts.
Hang Seng Bank Limited reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions of the Cash Dollar reward for this service without prior notice.

All disputes related to the service are to be resolved between Octopus Cards Limited and the customers. Hang Seng Bank Limited will not be responsible for any related legal obligations and liabilities.
